NOSAs innovative product line consists of four unique nasal products: NOSA menthol plugs, NOSA microbial control, NOSA allergy filter. Our development process was adapted to meet the individual challenges posed by each product, including regulatory requirements as medical devices. Nosa Plugs
The biggest delivery when it comes to both products was the re-design of the shape to create a more universal fit which resulted in a wider accessibility for different users.Â
The NOSA menthol plug´s scent is overall menthol, however due to cultural differences our research showed that the scent should vary depending on where in the world you buy them.Â
To create an efficient NOSA microbial control device to prevent viruses and bacteria from entering the nostrils an anti-microbial substance was selected which could be infused into the plastic material. Â
Nosa Filter
With NOSA, we faced a challenge when designing the NOSA filter device: making it accessible for many users while ensuring a proper seal against the nasal wall. Our solution forces air through a specially designed filter media, effectively preventing pollen from entering the nose. Sourcing the right filter media was a major obstacle, but we overcame it and patented a product that filters out a large amount of particles efficiently and reliably.
